The surface tension and grain boundary energy of solid lead (99.9995 % pure) were determined. The zero-creep method of Udin was used. The measurements were made at 317°C in various gas atmospheres. Argon, hydrogen and nitrogen were used. The measurements in argon and hydrogen atmospheres yielded id
