## Abstract The feasibility of chromium(VI) to induce graft polymerization of methyl methacrylate onto silk was investigated. The rate of grafting was determined by varying monomer concentration, chromium(VI) concentration, temperature, acidity of the medium, nature of the silk, reaction medium, an
