Glycine, a novel heterogeneous organocatalyst, is found to be highly effective for the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives in a oneβpot multicomponent reaction via Hantzsch condensation under controlled microwave (MW) irradiation. The combination of glycine and MW has promising features for the reaction response, such as the shortest reaction time, excellent product yields, and simple workβup of the products. J.
