Seventyfour asaccharolytic strains of Acinotobacter were tested for the presence of PQQ dependent glucose dehydrogenase apoenzyme. This apoenzyme could not be detected in any of five strains of Acinetobacter haemolyticus; it was also lacking in one strain of each A. junii and A. lwoffi.
