✦ Synopsis

It is suggested that non-monotonic temperature dependence of state-to-state collision rates may result from the occurrences of glories in the velocity dependence of the inelz&ic cross section. As in the elastic case, these are due to the esistence of B minimum (i.e., a well) in the intermolecular potential.
