differential equation with sectorial operator is shown to generate a dissipative semigroup whenever an appropriate introductory estimate for solutions is known. Based on Hale's theory of dissipative systems such an a priori estimate is then shown to be sufficient for existence of a global attractor.
Our aim in this note is to construct an exponential attractor of optimal (with respect to the dissipation parameter) fractal dimension for dissipative reaction-diffusion systems without conditions on the growth of the nonlinear term. (~) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
