β¦ Synopsis
We study the histor)-dependence of diamagnetic response of superconducting Laa.sSr 2CuO4 ceramics in a magnetic field. In this material the granulas are weakly coupled by Josephson junctions, and these couplings are frustrated by the magnetic field. We separate the magnetic response due to intergranular Josephson currents and intragranular currents. We find a strong history-dependence of magnetization which is the evidence of the gauge glass state formed in this system at low temperature. Our data are in a qualitative agreement with the developed MF theory of the gauge glass state.
