β¦ Synopsis
The curing reactions of epoxy resin diglycidyl ether of 2,7-dihydroxy naphthalene (DGEDHN) with different aliphatic and aromatic amines have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The thermal stability of the cured products was also studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Using these data, different glass fiber-reinforced composites were fabricated, and their mechanical, electrical properties and resistance to chemicals were studied.

## Abstract The purpose of this work was to propose a new numerical model for glassβfiberβreinforced composites. The proposed numerical model was constructed with orthotropic shell, isotropic shell, and beam elements representing glass fiber cloth, silica filler, and the remaining matrix resin, res
Based on theoretical consideration, it has been found that the fracture energy is an useful index for the evaluation of fracture toughness of GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites). The method for determination of the fracture energy was proposed in this paper. Fracture energy was obtained
The thermal stability of a short carbon-fiber-reinforced PEEK composite was assessed by thermogravimetry and by a Rheometrics dynamic analyzer. The results indicated that holding for 10 min at 380Β°C was a suitable melting condition to avoid the thermooxidative degradation under air. After proving th
A silane coupling agent with a benzoxazine functional group has been synthesized. A series of nonpolar solvents is found to favor benzoxazine monomer formation. Employing these nonpolar solvents, a high-purity benzoxazine functional silane coupling agent is obtained. The effectiveness of this silane
