The anisotropy of flux instability evolution in textured yttrium samples in magnetic field up to 12 T has been studied. Stabilization of the magnetic properties of samples through remagnetization has been found out. A phenomenon of the bulk textured superconductor lamination to the plates has been f

โฆ Synopsis
The anisotropy of unusually large magnetostriction arising from flux pinning for melt processing YBaCuO was investigated. The sample length changes AL in the ah-plane when the magnetic field H is parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis were measured. Large jumps of thc magnetostriclion coefficient associated with flux .jumps were found. Complicated deformation of the sample under remagnctization v, as observed.
