✦ Synopsis
Abstract
We report the giant magnetoimpedence (GMI) effect in Co~52~Fe~32~B~11~Si~5~ amorphous ribbon micro‐patterned using photolithography and wet etching process. The effects of AC frequency and amplitude on GMI characteristics are investigated in our micro‐patterned GMI devices. Furthermore, it is shown that thickness of patterned ribbon plays a significant role on the GMI behaviour and response condition of AC frequency and amplitude. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. ## Abstract In this work, the off‐diagonal magnetoimpedance (MI) effect in two types of Co~69~Fe~4~Si~15~B~12~ amorphous ribbons was measured. One type of ribbons was obtained by means of the conventional melt spinning technique. The other type of ribbons was obtained by the same procedure but with
## Abstract Longitudinal and transverse giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effects in micropatterned ribbons (Metglas^®^ 2714A) with meander structure are investigated. The maximum longitudinal GMI ratio of the ribbons is 180.4% and it presents to __H__~L~ = 10 Oe and an AC frequency __f__ = 20 MHz. In t
