Mai 1974 Bei der Einwirkung von Pyridin auf die Diaquabis(organosu1finato-O,O')cadmium(II)-Komplexe l a , b erhalt man gemaR GI. (1) die bisher unbekannten sechsfach koordinierten polymeren Bis(organosulfinato-O,O')bis(pyridin)cadmium(II)-Komplexe 2a, b. In Abhangigkeit vom Organorest R und vom Losungsmittel reagieren l a , b geman GI. (2) und (3) stufenweise mit 2,2'-Bipyridyl, wobei die pseudooktaedrisch konfigurierten Sulfinato-O,O'-Komplexe (RSO&Cdbpy [R = C6H5 (3a), p-CH3C6H4 (3 b)] und der Sulfinato-0-Komplex {RS(O)O)zCdbpy2 [R = p-CH3C6H4 (4b)l entstehen. 4 b erhalt man auch aus 3 b und 2,2'-Bipyridyl in Wasser. In Aceton geht 4 b unter Abspaltung von einem mol 2,2'-Bipyridyl reversibel in 3 b iiber. Die Komplexe werden an Hand ihrer 1R-Spektren charakterisiert. Directed Synthesis of Suffinato-0 and -S Complexes of some Transition Metals, MI) Sulfinato Complexes of Cadmium(1L) with Mono-and Bidentate Nitrogen Ligands The hitherto unknown sixfold co-ordinated polymeric bis(organosu1finato-O,O')bis(pyridine)cadmium(I1) complexes Za, b are obtained according to equation ( I ) by reaction of pyridine with the diaquabis(organosu1finato-O,O')cadmium(II) complexes 1 a, b. Depending on the organic residue R and the solvent, l a , b react stepwise with 2,2'-bipyridyl according to equations (2) and (3) to form the pseudooctahedrally configurated sulfinato-0,O' complexes (RSO2)zCdbpy [R = C6HS (3a), p-CH3CsH4 (3b)l and the sulfinato-0 complex {RS(0)O}zCdbpy2 [R = P -C H J C ~H ~ (4b)l. 4 b is also obtained from 3 b and 2,2'-bipyridyl in water. In acetone 4 b is converted reversibly into 3 b with elimination of one mole of 2,2'bipyridyl. The complexes are characterized on the basis of their i. r. spectra.
