364A ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES:ROCK BLOCKS well logging methods and their application in coal exploration are described. The state of lithological determination from geophysical well logging data using fuzzy classification is outlined. The fuxxy clustering of structural geological data and the use of borehole televiewer (BHTV) reflectivity are examined. The algorithms presented were tested in a multiwell study of the lithology of the Upper Carboniferous in the Ruhrgebiet and Munsterland. (PCooke)
