Magnetic

and non-magnetic cassiterite from St. Michael's Mount and Cligga Head, Cornwall, have been analysed by electron microprobe. Differences in their chemical composition are attributed mainly to the presence of inclusions of wolframite. The colour zoning in these cassiterites cannot be attributed to the presence of iron.
