II. Paralysis by phage fd in high and low responding
Partial low zone paralysis t o phage fd can be induced in mice at a 10-14M concentration of t h e coat protein subunit of the phage. It is established more readily in high responding C57BL/6J than in low responding AKR/J mice. The data suggest that the defect causing low responsiveness lies in a structure or function which is needed for both the induction of immunity and paralysis.
