A crude extract of Caulerpa taxifolia was tested for its antiviral activity. The chloroform-methanol residue showed an interesting inhibitor effect in vitro toward the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), a valid model for studying the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. This extract reduced the vir
