Abstract
We present a demodulation technique to synthesise the physical parameters of an optical fibre Bragg grating (FBG) resonant cavity. The demodulation is achieved through a genetic algorithm (GA). The estimated parameters allow us to simulate the cavity amplitude response, arriving at an accurate response when compared to the experimental results. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
