✦ Synopsis


This paper proposes an abstracted interface between the policy decision function (PDF) and the policy enforcement point (PEP), and a generic, scalable PDF framework with a generic PDF state machine. This PDF framework is compatible with all related standards and offers the potential for rapid prototyping and accelerated product development in nextgeneration networks.
