## Abstract A new type of one‐dimensional (1D) photonic bandgap (PBG) microstrip slow‐wave structure applied for filter is presented. The proposed filter exhibits remarkable slow‐wave and low‐pass characteristics. It is formed without etching in the ground plane, only by modification of the microst

Abstract
A generic microstrip structure is used for the design of all‐type broadband filters, based on the analogy between wave and transmission line theories. A Matlab‐based lumped (LC) and scattered (microstrip line) filter design tool is developed for the automation of the filter design. Sample lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and bandstop filters are designed and their operational characteristics are validated via in‐house prepared FDTD‐based virtual microstrip circuit simulator. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, a microstrip parallel‐coupled bandpass filter based on electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures to achieve spurious suppression is presented. The EBG loops of the middle layer add an extra stopband‐rejection mode to the 2^nd^ and 3^rd^ harmonics of the filter with attenua
In molecular modeling projects which require use of several different computer programs, one encounters problems in sharing data between programs. One difficult problem is the conversion of atom types from one program's definition to another. A second problem is the conversion of a polymer, such as
