✦ Synopsis

The developed approaches are directed at obtaining of: (a) the generated surfaces of elliptical gears by enveloping process, and (b) computerization of the process of generation by application of existing equipment and tools. A matrix approach is proposed and developed for generation of equation of meshing. The developed theory is illustrated with examples of generation of planar and helical elliptical gears.
