✦ Synopsis

A zinc-modi®ed ZSM-5 catalyst was prepared by a solid-state reaction between zinc dust and H-ZSM-5. The resulting catalyst is as active for the aromatization of ethane as zinc-modi®ed ZSM-5 prepared by impregnation.
