✦ Synopsis

mTwo sets of dialogue transcripts were used in our analysis. The first set was collected by J. Roach and D. Sanford from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from telephone conversations with travel agents. The second was recorded by R. King and J. Vonwiller from Sydney University from telephone conversations pertaining to the car repair domain. The analysis described in Stein and Thiel (1993) yields comparable results at the dialogue-act level.
