✦ Synopsis

Given a T-indistinguishability operator E defined between some fuzzy subsets of a universe of discourse X, this paper studies three ways to generate an indistinguishability operator on X compatible with E inspired by the tools used in approximate reasoning and on the duality principle. Of special interest are the cases when the fuzzy subsets determine a partition and a hard-partition of the universe X.

In this paper, we study in-depth certain properties of interval-valued fuzzy sets and Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets (A-IFSs). In particular, we study the manner in which to construct different interval-valued fuzzy connectives (or Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy connectives) starting from a

Feature extraction and decision-making is a matter of considerable interest for condition monitoring of complex phenomena with multiple sensors. In tool wear monitoring, the extraction of subtle aspects of signals from a range of transient and static events offers a special challenge for diagnostic
