Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to show the existence of a generalized solution of a nonβautonomous transport problem. By means of the theory of equicontinuous evolution system on a sequentially complete locally convex topological vector space, we show that the perturbed abstract nonβautonomous Cauchy problem has a unique solution when the perturbation operator and forcing term function satisfy certain conditions. A consequence of the abstract result is that it can be directly applied to obtain a generalized solution of the nonβautonomous photon transport problem. Copyright Β© 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

We obtain an existence theorem of periodic solutions of non-autonomous second order systems with classical theorems of variational calculus.
In this paper we present a mixed ''multiple time scale -harmonic balance'' (MHB) method for a quite general non-linear oscillations problem subject to a periodic force. The MHB differs from the more traditional multiple time scale (MS) method in that it uses two separate procedures for the solutions
