Abstract

Monocrystalline LnPO~4~ (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb) nanowires have been prepared in bulk quantities by a simple, facile, and clean solution‐based hydrothermal method at 220−240 °C by finely tuning the acidity of the stock solutions. The length and width of the nanowires were in the range of 1−10 μm and 10−200 nm, respectively. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2003)
