โฆ Synopsis
When analysing pedigree data, it is just as important to detect deficiencies in the fitting and application of the current model as to be able to specify the model, estimate its parameters and test appropriate hypotheses. Some of the statistical issues that arise in the fitting end application of genetic models to pedigree data are discussed in this paper. A particular eet of data and a noncontroversial characteristic have been chosen to highlight these iesuee. .
