Uridine-5-monophosphate-kinase was determined by starch gel electrophoresis on samples of 711 unrelated individuals. The following gene frequencies were observed: UMPK1 = 0.9550 and UMPK2 = 0.0450.

Transferrin (Tf) subtypes were determined by isoelectric focusing and polyacrylamide gelelectrophoresis on samples from 380 unrelated individuals. The following gene frequencies were observed: Tf c~ 0.7816, Tf c2 0.1355, Tf c3 0.0711, and Tf B 0.0118.
