The mutual influence of two laser modes corresponding to two different transitions with the same lower level is investigated experimentally in a He-Ne-d.c.-laser for the laser transitions 29, + 2p, and 3s2 + Zp,. The results are in agreement with calculations in the frame of semiclassical theory of
