He has published 10 novels, including "Spirit Wrestlers", "Theatre of Darkness", "Magnum Opus Shines" and "Mona's Gift", and several non-fiction and poetry books. He has won numerous awards, including the Patrick White Award and an OA. In 2010 he was also shortlisted for the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards.
