area on the peaks typically measures 0.2-0.6 mm. The metal profile also appears to be hollow with some form of flexible core, referred to as a 'spring insertion', but this is not discussed.

โฆ Synopsis
This patent describes a gasket or grommet type device that may be used for sealing an opening in components such as a cylinder head cover where a tube passes through. To avoid damage on assembly the outside diameter is similar to or less than the diameter of the hole. Provision is made for radial expansion of the gasket after assembly. The gasket can then be used to seal orifices that are not manufactured to precise dimensions.

forced axially into assembly with the seal component to permit the end of the flange to pass by. The retention lip then returns to shape to capture the flange and thereby support the components against disassembly in the reverse direction.
This patent describes a piston ring that is claimed to provide reduced friction and wear. The design allows independent adjustment of the parameters controlling friction and wear to eliminate the trade off between low friction and low wear typical of prior art rings. A method and a device for in situ formation of a seal in a section of the annulus in an oil well are described. The particular feature of this invention is that the sealant may be injected as a liquid and will then solidify.
