β¦ Synopsis
(In Japanese)
The combustion system under discussion, includes a means for converting hydrocarbon fuels, such as petroleum and coal into a gas, which contains CO, Hz; and COz. The system also has a means for desuifurizing the gas, a means for CO conversion (by steam reforming) to form hydrogen and carbon dioxide, a process for separating CO1 from the gas using lithium zirconate without cooling, plus a procedure for combusting the hydrogen-rich gas that is produced.

A scaling law for the emission of a pollutant from a combustion furnace is proposed and its adequacy is examined experimentally. Factors affecting the emission of a pollutant were selected and the scale effect on these factors was determined. It was found that the flow pattern and the micro and macr
Fluidized bed (FB) combustion and gasification are advanced techniques for fuel flexible, high efficiency and low emission conversion. Fuels are combusted or gasified as a fluidized bed suspended by jets with sorbents that remove harmful emissions such as SOx. CO2 capture can also be incorporated. F
