โฆ Synopsis
Grade PGS-100 is a patented sintered silicon carbide that contains an optimum amount of free graphite evenly dispersed throughout the material matrix. During development of Purebide GS, the percentage and size of the graphite phase was optimized through extensive testing of a wide range of experimental materials. The free graphite enhances lubrication at the operating interface during the upset condition, prolonging the time between process upset and catastrophic failure. PGS-100 provides marginal lubrication improvement, a measure of dry run survivability, and increased thermal shock resistance as compared to conventional ceramic materials. Even after extended test runs, there were no signs of wear.
