Synopsis
The longttudmal ddfuslon coeficient m a 8 in. diameter pipe carrying refinery gao over a 0,OOOft dMance has been measured by usmg hydrogen as a tracer. The results show that the formti for the effective diffusion coefflcEent given by TAYMB, K = 7 14 aUdcf, may be used for gases as well aa for hquids. Th19 means that the Schmidt pup ha0 no mfluence on longitudmal diffusion.
R&urn&-En

Predictions were made of the long-term behavior of a new repair system for gas pipelines, which involves the wrapping of a polymer composite tape coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the damaged pipe. The time-and temperature-dependent behavior of the tape and the adhesive was experimentally
