✦ Synopsis
adsorption properties of graphitized thermal carbon black (GTCB), modified with monolayers of ethioporphyrin (EP) and its Cu-, Ni-and Vo(") complexes, have been investigated. Gas chromatography was used to determine specific retention volumes at low coverage of the surface and molar differential heats of adsorption for different classes of organic substances. For substances whose molecules can interact specifically with the functional groups of the molecules of the modifying substance, the contribution of the energy of specific interaction, Aql, to the total heat of adsorption was determined. The selectivity of the adsorbents obtained towards different compounds depends on the nature of a complex-forming cation.
