✦ Synopsis
Robust gas sensors are needed for industrial on-line analysis of gas mixtures. Most of these sensors are nonlinear and nonselective. Different mathematical methods for determination of the gas concentrations in mixtures from sensor output signals are discussed and evaluated. As an example the analysis of a ternary gas mixture with the aid of an acoustic sensor and a thermal one is considered.
