โœฆ Synopsis

A new type of nonlinear coupled transmission line which consists of two LC ladder lines connected by intermediary capacitors has been introduced in order to investigate theoretically and numerically a new class of localized solitary excitations, the so-called gap solitons. The nonlinear capacitor whose capacitance depends on the square root of the applied voltage is used in each line. These localized exitations are due to the nonlinearity-induced gap in the continuous wave spectrum of the coupled line.

## Abstract A method of generating more efficient RF from a soliton generating nonlinear lumped element, transmission line (NLETL) is presented.A bipolar input is coupled into an NLETL, which is DC, biased to the amplitude of the input pulse. The input evolves into a soliton containing pulse that w

## Abstract We discuss the modeling of selfโ€trapping in arrays of evanescently coupled optical waveguides with Kerr nonlinear response, contrasting two different approaches. Our results show that the coupled mode equations describe with good accuracy, in a wide range of the parameter values of phys
