โœฆ Synopsis

We present a new fuzzy timed Petri net model. Each transition firing in our model is associated with a fuzzy number; during transition, firings tokens are removed from input and added to output places. We consider the marks changing rate in each place as constant, and our performance analysis is based on the reachability state graph. Our model has fuzzy differential equations incorporated with it. Finally, we present the capabilities of the model by examples. (~) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

We define a time scale as a linear-ordered commutative monoid LOC-monoid, for . short , which generalized the continuous time scale. Using some existing operations in fuzzy set theory, we equip our fuzzy time model with the algebraic structure of a semiring. This semiring structure provides a conven

This paper is concerned with a Petri net model having fuzzy timing and fuzzy real-time temporal logic. In an earlier paper, we introduced a Petri net model with four fuzzy set theoretic functions of time but no algorithms were given for computing the two important operators called, earliest and late

An alterative approach to the backward reasoning is presented. In classical reasoning, both users and developers of many expert systems are dedicated to the forward reasoning. However, in many newly arising expert systems such as various diagnosis systems, the backward reasoning is of special intere

This paper considers the construction of Petri nets to simulate the computation performed by decision systems. Algorithms are given to construct Petri nets which correspond to decision rules, information systems, and real-time decision systems. Rough as well as rough fuzzy Petri net extensions of co
