✦ Synopsis

The aim of this paper is to introduce several types of fuzzy connectedness in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces deÿned by Coker (1997). This construction is based on the idea of intuitionistic fuzzy set developed by Atanassov (1983Atanassov ( , 1986;;Atanassov and Stoeva, 1983). We also investigate some interrelations between these types of fuzzy connectedness together with the preservation properties under fuzzy continuous functions.

Based on the consideration to the layer structures of fuzzy lattices and the level topologies of L-fuzzy topological spaces, a connectedness is deÿned for an arbitrary L-fuzzy set in this paper. This deÿnition re ects the degree of connectivity of an L-fuzzy set. It is shown that the connectedness o

The purpose of this paper is to construct the basic concepts of the so-called "intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces". After giving the fimdamental definitions and the necessary examples we introduce the definitions of fuzzy continuity, fuzzy compactness, fuzzy connectedness and fuzzy Hausdorff sp
