Fuzzy Analysis and Related Topics
The Seventh International World Congress of Fuzzy System Association (IFSA'97) was held in Prague, in June 1997. This mighty event had more than 500 participants representing different areas of mathematics of fuzzy sets and systems and their diverse applications.
Originally the editors intended to compose this special issue mainly on the basis of the materials presented at the congress which are related to fuzzy analysis. However, taking into account that the Proceedings of IFSA'97, containing the extended abstracts of the talks given at the Congress, have already been published by a very respectable publisher "ACADEMIA", our final decision was to include in this issue such papers which are either essentially reworked and extended versions of the corresponding abstracts published in the "Proceedings" (such are e.g. the papers by S. G~ihler and W. G~ihler, M. Kalina, S. Asmuss and A. Sostak, Q. Jiang, S. Wang and D. Ziou) or just new works, whose subject is sufficiently closely related to some problems discussed at the Congress (such are e.g. the papers by T. Kubiak and

Fuzzy relation is a crucial connector in presenting fuzzy time series model. However, how to obtain a fuzzy relation matrix to represent a time-invaxiant relation is still a question. Based on the concept of fuzziness in Information Theory, the concept of entropy is applied to measure the degrees of
