✦ Synopsis
An approximate model for mass transfer with oxygen reduction in porous gas-difTusion electrodes has been enhanced to include multicomponent gaseous diffusion within the substrate. The resulting model is particularly useful in evaluating and predicting important mass transfer processes occurring in double-layered porous gas-diffusion electrodes used in hydrogen/oxygen phosphoric acid fuel cells. An iterative approach to the model simulation of potentiostatic electrode performance is described.
