Abstract

Based on results of a previous paper [1] a general formula for the development of the shape of surface cracks is presented. In case of tension an analytical solution is presented, which allows a very easy parameter study. For other loading conditions solutions can be obtained, using numerical calculations. The behaviour of surface crack growth development is discussed.
