## Abstract We describe a case of thyrotoxicosis accompanied by markedly elevated blood lead levels (initially 53 ΞΌ/dl) in a 37‐year‐old woman. No current source of lead exposure was found; the woman gave a history indicative of lead exposure as a child and as an adult 7 years previously, however.

Presented is the case of a group exposure to lead occurring during the removal of lead-based paint from an older home. One patient had symptoms from the time of exposure to the time of presentation, when he was acutely ill and encephalopathic. The patient was treated successfully with an initial cou
