The complete structure of a sesquiterpene dialdehyde ("velleral"), isolated from Lactartus uellereus and L. pergamenus, has been elucidated by means of IR, UV, W-NMR spectroscopy, NOE measurements and computer simulation of the 'H-NMR spectrum.
