✦ Synopsis

Bis(diorganylphosphinodithioformato-S,P)nickel(~~) complex (3): A solution of ( 2 ) (10 mmol) [in the case of ( 2 a ) in acetone and ether (25 ml of each), in the case of (2b) in acetone (25ml), and in the case of (2c) in THF (20 ml) and ether (75 ml)] prepared under nitrogen is added dropwise to a solution of Ni(NO,),(H,O), (5 mmol) in acetone (5Oml) [in the case of (212) in acetone and ether (50ml of each)]. The finely crystalline precipitate of complex (3) is filtered off. washed thoroughly with water and acetone, and recrystallized as quoted in Table . Yield 75 to 85 %.
