โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

Fulminant, rapidly fatal pulmonary metastatic disease occurred in two breast cancer patients. The radiologic appearance in both suggested infection. Immunosuppresion may have contributed to this overwhelming illness. Attempts to obtain a tissue diagnosis are warranted in cancer patients if acute pulmonary infiltrates do not respond to appropriate antibiotics.

However, a small subset of patients with isolated adrenal metastases may achieve long-term survival with aggressive surgical resection of the adrenal gland. To clarify the role of adren

To determine the effect of aggressive regional therapy for liver metastasis from breast cancer, we retrospectively reviewed data on 74 patients identified with liver metastases. Forty had only liver metastases. In this group of 40 patients, 18 were treated with regional therapy only, i.e., surgical
