β¦ Synopsis
On the basis of a new ray tracing idea, a program has been developed which simulates the propagation of sound in an environment. The unique feature of the method is that both the room and the ray are represented only in discrete points. The program is of great use at the planning stage of assembly halls, theatres, concert halls, studios, etc. The method described in this paper has two major advantages--that the time needed to apply it does not increase as the room to be analysed becomes more complex and that the input data are the simplest possible. The results achieved indicate that the method acts in the way intended and that it gives results exact enough for any application. The data produced by the program include,Jor an arbitrary room, the sound pressure level and time of arrival of the sound reflections originating from a source with an arbitrary radiation characteristic and reaching one or several given receiver points.

It is well known that eikonal solvers provide a fast and accurate way to compute traveltimes in complex media. However, they only give solutions corresponding to first arrivals. In (J. Comput. an optimal conversion gain equal to q6 dB, very close to the experimentally obtained value of 5 dB. ## CONCLUSION The generation of microwave signal mixing can be realized by FMrIM conversion by using all-optical components such as interferometers. An FP, an RR, and a UMZ have been investigated. T
The present paper is a sequel to a previous one by the same authors in which a family of up to fourth-order fully discrete (FD) upwind numerical schemes was presented. In this paper we extend those high-order FD schemes to solutions with discontinuities, e.g. shocks. A rigorous anlaysis of the total
The present paper is a sequel to two previous papers in which rigorous, up to fourth-order, fully discrete (FD) upwind TVD schemes have been presented. In this paper we discuss in detail the extension of these schemes to solutions of non-linear hyperbolic systems. The performance of the schemes is a
