β¦ Synopsis
Free convection flows, arising due to density varying as square of the temperature difference, between two long parallel plates of constant temperatures is analysed. When the ratio of the wall temperature differences, m = 0, the convective velocities are less than the corresponding velocities for linear density temperature variations while for other values of m. the respective velocities and temperatures are either equal to or greater than the corresponding values of linear density variations.

A simpli"ed simulation for developing laminar forced #ow in the entrance region between two parallel plates is presented. This simulation is based on an implicit "nite di!erence numerical representation of a boundary layer model describing the #ow in the entry region. This boundary layer model compr
