The full-vectorial finite-element-based imaginary-distance beam-propagation method (IDVFEBPM) is applied to perform modal analysis of lossless and lossy microwave dielectric waveguides. The excellent agreement between the results obtained using the IDVFEBPM and those in the literature reveal its hig

✦ Synopsis
The need for a protecti¨e dielectric co¨er is presently more and more rele¨ant in wa¨eguide slot arrays, especially in space applications. Therefore, the knowledge about wa¨eguide slot arrays radiating into free space must be completed to design dielectric-co¨ered arrays. The aim of this paper is to describe a rigorous method-of-moment approach to the analysis of a dielectric-co¨ered inclined series slot, able to take into account the effect of the wall thickness. The whole procedure has been de¨ised aiming at a time-effecti¨e but precise way to compute the slot resistance, tailored to the needs of slot array design procedures.

## Abstract In this Letter, the mixed potential integral equation (MPIE) method is used in conjunction with the complex images technique to carry out a full‐wave analysis of a multiconductor coplanar waveguide (CPW) embedded in a layered substrate. Special attention is paid to the correct applicati
## Abstract In this paper, an inhomogeneous, multilayered cylindrical stripline is analyzed using the 3D‐TLM method. Dispersion characteristics of dominant as well as higher‐order modes are obtained for single and coupled cylindrical striplines. Impedance characteristics for the dominant mode are a
