โœฆ Synopsis

C$23 million (US$17 million) proposal to build a 'Hydrogen Highway' from the US border to Whistler, BC in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Similar corridor initiatives are also being considered in some regions of the US, such as the Route 66 hydrogen corridor from Los Angeles to Denver, with fueling stations every 100 miles (160 km). Over time, the idea would be to connect these different corridors and highways to each other, thus providing the infrastructure to support hydrogen transportation.

Dubbed 'Hydrogen Highway 2', the Ontario plan is still in its conceptual stages, but Britton said the first steps to making it happen will be announced 'within a year's time'.
