โฆ Synopsis
This patent describes a mold (1) for the production of plastic lenses that incorporates a tubular gasket (2) to surround the mold. The lens surfaces are formed by the top and bottom molds (3,4). An elastically deformable triangular projection band ( 5) is integrally formed on the inner peripheral surface of the gasket. The projection band projects over the entire circumference of the inner peripheral surface of the gasket, and is inclined upwards relative to the axis (L) of the gasket. The top mold, when pressed into the gasket, in turn presses the projection band to elastically deform it downwards.
