For Meleagros Detektivbureau er ingen sag for stor eller lille, så da hr. Hach en dag dukker op og beder Adam om at finde hans døde kones broche, påtager Adam sig omgående opgaven.
Inden Adam får set sig om, bringer hans søgen efter brochen ham til Sverige, hvor hans modstander viser sig at være den hemmelige, religiøse sekt, Skitthaerne. Brochen er ikke helt almindelig, og Adams mission ændrer sig hurtigt til at omfatte langt mere alvorlige sager.
Både Adams evner som detektiv og Georgs kamperfaring bliver sat på en hård prøve i jagten på sandheden om Fru Hachs Broche.
